Given that Homestead has temporarily pivoted to virtual learning, ALL high school students will be completing the November 1st class at home. There are no in person classes on November 1st.
We strongly encourage you to complete these lesson plans as a family as they can lead to some wonderfully fruitful conversation, however they can be done individaully as well.
All high school students enrolled in in-person learning and home-study learning are asked to complete the November lesson and submit their reflection sheets to me by the end of November. Instructions are included in the lesson plans.
Reflection Sheets can be submitted via email at krolla@lumenchristiparish.org or dropped off in high school bins in the Home Study area, located to the right of the main stairs leading up to the Church.
9th, 10th, and 11th (Confirmation) will all be completing the same lesson plan for November.
Below you will find the following:
If your student has not yet completed their October lesson plan, please have them do so ASAP and submit the reflection back. Reflection sheets are due by the end of October.
Reflection Sheets can be submitted via email at krolla@lumenchristiparish.org or dropped off in high school bins in the Home Study area, located to the right of the main stairs leading up to the Church.
Throughout the year, we will be using multiple different platforms to watch Catholic videos. I will either send the video in our emails or they can be accessed on our parish subscription to FORMED. Attached you will find the log-in information for FORMED. This is a free resource for you that the parish has bought a subscription to. Please have you student sign up for FORMED so that they can watch this week’s lessons.

9th and 10th graders are on a two-year cycle for formation. This means that they will both have the same lesson plans that rotate every other year. Confirmation has their own set of lesson plans that focus specifically on the Sacrament of Confirmation.
There are two lessons that high schoolers will participate in each month:
