Greetings
and welcome to the web site of Lumen Christi Catholic Church! Whether you have just “found” us or are currently a member
of the parish checking out some needed information, I hope you will find
this site helpful. Each time you visit our web page, you should find current
and timely information and even some inspiration along the way!
Lumen Christi Parish is a vibrant and growing Catholic parish in the community of Mequon-Thiensville along the shores of Lake Michigan just north of Milwaukee. There are nearly 2700 families registered at Lumen Christi Catholic Church and about 7800 parishioners. We have a great Catholic school (K3– 8) and Catholic Formation program (K5-12). There are links to both of these programs on our home page, where you can find more information about what we offer for our children and young people.
Lumen Christi Parish has an exciting vision for its ministry, and I invite you to be part of it. There are four “pillars” to this vision:
- A vibrant liturgical life that is grounded in the Catholic tradition and that encourages the active and prayerful participation of all
- Quality formation programs and opportunities for children, young people, and adults that will foster sound and authentic understanding of the Catholic faith and the motivation to live it out
- A comprehensive ministry of outreach that engages parishioners in service to others, while bringing the Church’s social teaching to bear on the issues that confront society today
- A broad-based stewardship effort that invites the grateful use of time, talent, and treasure not only within the parish, but within the community as well
