Age of Wisdom
Age of Wisdom was organized in November 2003. It is a seniors organization that provides Lumen Christi Parish members (55 &
older) with opportunities for spiritual, educational, cultural, and
social growth by working, playing, and praying together. The idea is
to build community for all seniors who in some cases might be alone or are simply anxious to do more!
Meetings are held at Lumen Christi Mequon, in St. James Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month (except September & December) at 1:30 - 3:30 pm. The September meeting is typically a picnic, the December meeting is a Christmas program at an area restaurant.
2005 Christmas Program - Wednesday, December 14 at 5:30 pm,
at Alpine Village Restaurant on Green Bay Road, featuring entertainment by Theis and O'Connor.

Sunday Babysitting
Babysitting is offered in the St. Luke room at Lumen Christi Mequon,
during the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday Masses. This service enables
parents to attend Mass in a quieter atmosphere while a certified teacher
is in charge. Volunteers (including junior and high school students)
are always needed and welcomed to keep this program energized. Contact
the babysitting coordinator, Catherine Ward, at 262-512-1987

Lumen Christi Holiday Art Fair ~ November 19 & 20, 2005
St. James Hall,
Lumen Christi Mequon
The Parish Art Fair is a high quality, juried art show featuring area artists. This year, they will
support the Youth Ministry Summer Outreach program by donating booth fees and the proceeds from a silent auction. For more

Hospitality Sundays
Hospitality provides an opportunity for the parish to come together in fellowship and community following Mass. Refreshments, beverages and snacks are pre-ordered and coordinated. Volunteer teams are needed to set out and serve after
each Sunday Mass every other month, alternating between Lumen Christ Mequon and Lumen Christi Thiensville. For more information, please contact Kathleen Schilz in the Parish office (262-242-7972) or contact Hospitality Coordinators, Mimi Piltz, 414-228-4986 at LC Mequon or Erin Mueller, 262-242-0417, at LC Thiensville.
Parish Picnic-Summer Social
This event is the largest parish community-building event of the year, the annual summer picnic. The picnic brings the entire parish together for fun, community and spirituality.
A committee is formed in the fall. There are approximately 10-12 planning meetings that begin in December and continue through the beginning of July. Members of the committee may also have specific jobs the day before and/or the day of the picnic.
Mark your calendars now for the...

Please consider being a part of this exciting annual event. Anyone who can't serve on the committee, but would like to be a part of this effort, may volunteer to help out at the picnic, for example, by organizing adult, family, and kids games, face painting, setting-up or taking-down.
