GRADE SEVEN
2006
Mrs. Betty Bruhn
I have been teaching in the Archdiocese for 21 years, and have been at Lumen Christi for eleven years. I have my BA in Elementary Education from Mount Mary College and my M.E. in Educational Technology from Cardinal Stritch University. My teaching certification is for grades one through eight. I have taught all grades in various situations here at Lumen Christi - computers from grades one through eight and religion to seventh graders. Presently, I teach art to grades one through three, and computer classes in the elementary and middle school grades.

Mrs. Avery Nolan
Avery Nolan taught fourth grade for 11 years, but became the 7th and 8th grade reading teacher last year. Beginning in the 2006-2007 school year, I am teaching one section of 7th grade reading and language arts, one 8th grade section of reading and language arts, 7th grade Civics, and one sixth grade geography class. That makes this my 13th year here! My favorite thing about teaching at Lumen Christi is the freedom to weave Christian values into everything we learn and do. The students at our school are awesome too. My husband, Dennis, and I live in Cedarburg with our dog, Piper. Our three children (one is a St. James grad!) are grown and live out-of-state in Chicago, Denver and Lake Tahoe, CA. They sure chose great places for us to travel for visits! For pleasure, I enjoy reading, painting and long walks.
